LEVEL OF SOCIETY
The medieval feudal hierarchy consisted of four levels; King, Noblemen, Lords, and Peasants. After King, the classes decreased in privileges, rights, and nobility. This whole structure revolved around lands and often land was given in exchange of labor or service.
The merchant was considered to be a peasant. Peasants had the least amount of money and hed the least set of priviledges
